Such an amazing score from these movies. The nostalgia and pure emotion when I listen to these. Love it so much. Aside from the theme that plays out in Two Towers where Legolas goes shield surfing, this is one of my favourite lotr soundtracks. personally, both the LotR and The Hobbit trilogies are perfection. Its crazy how I wasnt even aware of how much effort was put into these movies. This just proves how special they were, they just dont make movies quite like they used to.

I remember back in the day that no one expected the LOTR trilogy to be as good as it turned out. The trilogy really was a game-changer with respect to the adaptation of high fantasy. It still remains to this day the gold standard in adapting works of fantasy. An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist of fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. When Gandalf discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo must make an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it. However, he does not go alone. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir, and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin, and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, facing evil and danger at every corner the Fellowship of the Ring must go. Their quest to destroy the One Ring is the only hope for the end of the Dark Lords reign.
